(111,110 posts)They have evacuated several neighborhoods close to the mountains. It is burning out of control at the moment.

By the by. For those who think Obama ain't done nothing; he did sign up to foot the bill for some new 'slurry bomers'.
Oh sure complain about spending. You probably don't live a few miles away from a forest fire!

(2,570 posts)Live about an hour away and we thought it would be cooler. It was, but only by about five degrees. Crazy. I feel so bad for all of the victims.

(111,110 posts)I was just on my back porch with binoculars watching the flames flare up and it seemed like when they would hit a new tree, they looked like a huge candle from a distance....and then, in less than a minute, they were gone...
