My Rep actually answered my email...

I sent him a positive comment about him skipping the Inaugural, and he sent me back a bit of a form response, and a little non-committal about the reason for not attending....

but he answered.

Thank you for contacting me about President-elect Trump’s inauguration. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with me on this important issue.

Due to previously scheduled meetings in my District, I will not be attending Mr. Trump’s inauguration. As a Member of the House of Representatives, it is critical that I engage with my constituents as much as possible to hear about issues important to them. I made the decision to remain in Washington State weeks ago because the House of Representatives was not scheduled to be in session.

our Representatives and Senators during this uncertain time. I send e mails to my senator too, called him too that's why they are there. We elected them to do our work.
