Chaffetz was so dismissive of the Russian hacking and any investigation into a connection between Trump and the Kremlin it makes me wonder if he was in on it.

(42,770 posts)but then couldn't find it. Why does it matter? Because NY FBI hates Clinton. Hates Lynch - since they think she and the people she left behind in Brooklyn who were loyal to her stifled their investigation. They wanted a grand jury and it was denied.
It was also said that NY was going to leak/speak about the emails found on Huma's computer and that is why Comey had to announce that. Think Comey may be more weak than purposely trying to influence the election at that last disclosure of reopening investigation.
Know almost zero about the FBI - but common sense tells me - that 9-11 probably set up the NY office as the most powerful. Comey may just be their stooge.
Kallstrom interview piece (former head of NY office FBI
KALLSTROM: Well, I think he couldnt hold onto it any longer. OK. Because who knows? Maybe the locals would have stepped in on this.
PIRRO: New York City [branch of the FBI] would have done it? That's my take.
KALLSTROM: Who knows. And then [Comey] would really be in the doghouse.
PIRRO: He'd be embarrassed. I think he had to do it.

(9,122 posts)Only the lowest tier of liberal investigators are finding and trying to get these discoveries to the surface so someone can expose them to the "press corps".

Even the Huffpost piece I found is difficult to locate on their site.

(42,770 posts)working relationship between these two groups. Steele, best I remember, faulted the NYC group for not responding - he had worked with them before. It's possible that DC was looking at Trump Russian connections and not NYC (who loves Trump and hates Clinton).
I am sure that Trump thinks all this will go away. Hope it's the first question they ask him at a news conference.

(20,998 posts)....unfortunately our boy Jason --R, Liar/Hypocrite/Traitor, UT-- has way to much of the WEASEL in him... Lord knows he'd like to think he was important. I think if we compared the exact timeframes that Comeygate happened, we *might* find that it *appears* that Chaffetz --R, Weasel- *may* have known about Comey's first letter before most, certainly before all of Team Clinton. That could even make him an ACCESSORY to the electoral malfeasance perpetrated by Comey and his "handlers."

(6 posts)Yes. He does know something. Some of us tried to point it out at the time.
24 Oct- Trump's daughter-in-law hints on Fox they have things up their sleeve, October surprises
25 Oct- Rudy on Fox does same thing. Rudy's also been caught bragging about FBI contacts.
26 Oct- after Access Hollywood tape, Chaffetz couldn't get on CNN fast enough to say he could never vote for Trump, but on 26 October he suddenly tweets out he's back on the Trump train
28 Oct- Comey's letter comes out
Yes. He absolutely knew something, at least about FBI activities. It's obvious. It's been obvious for months.
And man, didn't Mitch seem really confidant about that Supreme Court seat? He didn't say a whole lot against Trump, either. And how about his wife's new cushy job in the administration?
Plenty of Republicans knew what was going on. Bet on it.
