My plans for Funereal Friday

Wake up around 6:00, shower, dress in all-black and have breakfast. (TBH, the all-black is fairly typical - I work in Manhattan )

Client meeting from 9:00 to 11:00. Turn TV on to something like Food Network to run throughout the nation's funeral, denying the Orange Turd another viewer point.

Haircut and lunch 12:00 to 2:00.

Post office visit to renew passport at 2:30.

Back to home office to prepare docs for Monday new hires. 3:30 - 5:00

Dinner out with hubby, followed by a viewing of "Hidden Figures" 6:00 - 10:30

Home, sleep, having successfully avoided all elements of the funeral. Saturday, ALL day - final document prep for company merger. Ugh. (Not looking forward to that, but a necessity.) Hope to take a break somewhere along the way to see what's happening with the march.

What are you planning?

We are hosting the Inaugural Bawl. "An evening of cathartic metamorphosis into a coalition of bad ass rabble-rousing resistance to the new regime through subversive poetry, theater, and spoken word."

Although I'll be stuck at home, I won't watch the inauguration.
I'll turn the TV on some benign station and log on to DU.

Have to know what we're fighting, right?

I had planned to march, but my company is buying another smaller one, and the closing is on Monday. I've got to do all the final offer letters, benefits transfers, etc., by end of the day on Saturday, for 41 people. A LOT of paperwork. Can't be done until Saturday because I won't have the final data to work with until 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Ugh.

And therefore staying away from work. All TVs will be tuned to QVC before leaving the house. Load up some good tunes on the iPod because it's a 90-minute drive to the beach. Media devices turned off except for allowed callers (family only).

Going to the beach, and then for a nice dinner with my honey.
