Beginning To Fear The US Is Going To Fall Into Disarray And Dysfunction..

I do not see how we go forward without great turmoil. How can we survive as a country when we have a party in charge that is planning to dismantle the government? Trump followers are really and truly out of their minds.

7. Even top Democrats play it down by suggesting they just wanted to "destabilize" our elections.

I call bullshit on that. It was just step one in their takeover plan.

8. With respect, why are so many of your posts so defeatist, hopeless and dispiriting?

...I usually keep pretty quiet on here, but lately when I see a post espousing a hopeless, depressed, discouraging view of things, it's often one of your posts.

Do you have such a negative view of America and of Americans that you think us unable to recover and overcome this great atrocity? I don't wanna accuse you of destructive motives here, so that's all I'm left with (other than emotional/mental reasons) what I see as a consistent defeatism on your part.

If it is depression or the like that is creating this negativism, I personally wish you well and hope you find some hope. What drove me to say anything is that I feel like the overwhelming consistency of your posts is toxicity to the optimism of others.

I hope that's not your intent, and hope you find hope.

I've asked your same question before, but got no answer.

I do hope his real life is happier than his posts.

12. It Is Because I Had Hoped That Voters Would Get The Message Since Reagan.

We have been sliding to this point ever since Reagan. I have watched to much positive progress being dismantled since 1981 it is not even funny. I worked at DOL for 24 years until 1998 and I was in a position to see very clearly what was being done just on the labor issue alone.

Moving us to a "service economy" has put us into a position where wages will not rise in the future for a lot of workers. Every cycle I kept hoping that the GOP would get soundly rejected and we would actually move forward progressively.

If you look at the landscape politically right now it is hard to feel positive about anything moving forward I doubt I am only one who feels so negative. Voters who went for Trump and the GOP rewarded the same people who put them where they are.

Believe me I would rather be optimistic. But I lament the fact that people keep making such bad decisions.

And I expect it to slide even further into the abyss now that the Russians have successfully stolen an election and staged a coup.

The stock market has been drip drip dripping downward since the new year began. It won't take much to go into a full blown correction or even enter a new bear market.
Anything can happen, and most of the possible scenarios are bad.
