Curt Schilling to Hall of Fame Voters: If You're Keeping Me Out For Political Reasons 'Kiss My Butt'

by Joe DePaolo | 2:45 pm, January 19th, 2017

Baseball’s annual Hall of Fame class was announced Tuesday night. And former Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling fell short of the necessary 75 percent vote total required for induction into Cooperstown. The retired Red Sox ace garnered 45 percent of the vote, down from 52.3 in 2016.

In an appearance on the Dan Patrick Show Thursday, host Dan Patrick asked the outspoken conservative Schilling why he thought his vote total fell this year.

“We all know why,” Schilling said. “Because I’m not — I’m not quiet. I think if I didn’t talk, I might have gotten in this time.

“But you know me,” Schilling told Patrick. “And you know that’s not who I am.”

Phillies manager when Schilling was a big hero in the 1993 playoffs, said it best: "Every 5 days Curt's a real horse on the mound. The other 4 days he's just a horse's ass."

The guy is a dumbass and a bigot, but his failures as a human being have nothing to do with his baseball career.

Whatever. I don't really feel strongly about this issue either way. I can't say I give much of a fuck what happens to this imbecile.

I've never cared to look, but damn multi Cy Young's, multiple WS MVPs, lots of big game wins, led three different staffs to WS wins, 241 wins (used to be 300 but the reliever era changed that). Guy is getting screwed because he's an asshole. Seems he's the only one that is right now however.

My reference is hard to reàd. 214 wins. But 300ⁿ strikeouts has always been an automatic every time.n(excellent Clemons)
