Do they not understand

that the office of the presidency is not football game? It's not our guy vs their guy? Now that they "won" it's time for the offseason. The country go further into the stew than it has in a long time. They'll sit on their hands and keep telling us how great things are going to happen.

Where are their advancements, improvements and achievements? Can the Republican voter point to one piece of law or legislation conceived and enacted by Republicans in the last few decades that's done anything positive? I'm guessing they can't since they're always dragging Lincoln out of his grave, pointing and grunting about "Republicans Good, Libs Bad"

Nothing good is going to come of the Trump administration. His voters have made it astonishingly clear that they don't want, or care if anything positive happens. Their Republican platform is toxic. They have managed to appeal to the very worst nature of humanity.

As the Republican voters stand (and sit) against the safety, welfare and well being of others; including their neighbors. They'll applaud The ideological politics of the Right. Those that are played at and voted in will almost always be designed to hurt a particular group of people and they simply don't care.

As this whole mess unfolds they'll keep moving the goal posts and assuring us that it's good for the country. They'll rationalize anything and they'll try to rationalize this. Even as they have their homes taken away, the potentiality of affordable healthcare stripped from them, reproductive rights, constitutional rights.

They'll watch their kids grow sick and diseased from tainted food, water and air. They'll sit and watch and rationalize that's this is how it's supposed to be under the heel of the uber wealthy. As their faces sink deeper into the mud and they finally realize where they are. They'll smile and tell us to never mind this, to wait and see, because it's going to be great. It's always going to be great because their guy "won" and that's all that matters.

The permanent election helps keep their base fired up. It also keeps the base distracted, and blissfully unaware of their true agenda.

As for the governance, they have no interest in that. They don't want to spend your tax dollars on anything that anyone might actually need, because then the people would come to expect them to spend the Treasury for the good of the citizens. There is just not enough for their pockets in that scenario.

And it is all about THEIR pockets.
