This is a great story.
I live and work in Texas.
I try not to discuss politics at work because it is not allowed.
The other day, there was a visitor to our office. One of my colleagues came in my office....introduced her to me and said "This is so-an-so"---she is another Nasty Woman.
My jaw dropped. There were 4 of us in my office and ALL of us were Nasty Women....
We need to take this to the next step.

(58,785 posts)fight for equality, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. So why not fight for all? Women are only half of virtually every group, and we can't do it alone. I knew that going in, and this will be the last march I participate in that excludes any group at all. Including men. Including white people. Including Hillary (not exactly a group of 1, or 2 or 3, when 63 million Americans voted for her).

(33,956 posts)and I have watched almost every march pay homage to Hillary.
Hillary also endorsed the rallies.

(58,785 posts)Certainly not The Beast that has taken power in Washington.
The turnout of the "sister march" in St. Petersburg was large, but only imagine what it might have been. This kind of corrosive political bigotry helped turn this country over to The Beast.
UNITED we stand.

It is honestly kind of weird to me that you are taking this stance....lol...but carry on.
Anyone who wanted to march was welcome. Obviously.
But....women's rights are on the chopping block.
We just let everyone know that we are a force to be reckoned with and you have a problem with that.
Very strange stance.

(58,785 posts)Those whose...hearts and motives are pure have done a wonderful thing. My rejection is for those members of the board organizing the march whose hearts are corrupted by anti-liberal bias. Being pro-women and pro-(name favorite ethnice/racial/religous/sexual identify group here) does not make one pro-liberalism.
Liberalism and progressive means of advancing societies are under organized attack around the planet. And U.S. and Europe are ground centers. Our nation was organized on liberal principles, our Constitution intrinsically liberal and progressive. To be unaware that these existential threats exist, and to be unaware that attacks by the anti-liberal far left empower the larger anti-liberal right, would be dreadful mistakes.
