Boston: every MBTA parking lot was full

The MBTA is the transit system that brings people in from all over the area into downtown Boston. There are parking lots beside MBTA stations in the suburbs.

My wife just got back from the rally, and she tells me that every parking spot in every MBTA lot was full. She has no idea how many people were there, but it was a huge number. There were so many people crowding into the subway stations when it was over that they didn't even try to collect fares, they just let people get onto subway cars for free.

Huge crowds! Long train ride on the Green line with tons of delays, but yes, they let everyone on with no fares collected.

Alewife is a T station at one end of the Red Line. People had to park a half mile away and walk just to get to the station so they could get into Boston for the march.
