Mom's white cat, Duchess, lived to the ripe old age of 23. When she passed, we knew Mom would soon follow. That said, Mom was anxious to vote and when her ballot arrived in the mail the first mark she made was next to Hillary Clinton's name. Her health went into decline a few days later, and she passed without knowing the outcome of the election. I know she would have cheered the marchers on. So, I found a picture of a white kitty and added the pink accessory. Mom would have gotten a huge kick out of it. Duchess, on the other paw, would have curled up for a nap after giving me that look.

(296 posts)My mother's cat died at the age of 20, my mother died not long after as well.
My mother was determined to vote for Hillary but passed away just before she could get an absentee ballot. She was 90.

(14,593 posts)I have a gray fluffy and three black and white tuxedos. All fine little animals. God, I'm worried about Trump. I just watched that Samantha Bee thing where she interviewed that Masha lady from Russia.
SB: So...how can we resist an autocracy successfully?
Masha: Well, you know I FLED from the autocracy. All the attempts to resist autocracy I know of have...failed.
SB: What is the biggest thing you're worried about?
Masha: Another holocaust.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh! That didn't cheer me up much.
