It explains why Trump supporters have to invoke "alternative facts" and attack those who challenge their views on what is true and factual. They would rather believe in falsehoods than deal with the discomfort of contradiction...Trump supporters are more interested in pacifying their own anxieties by indulging themselves in a fantasy world of "alternative facts" and falsehoods than actually tackling hard problems through an unbiased examination of credible evidence...regardless where that evidence leads and what myths and lies may be exposed as a result.
