I mean, they delivered their states to Trump, but perhaps that wasn't the smart idea.

They placed an ignoramous in charge and this is what these sort of people do when in charge.

But...this should pretty much be a standard drill. These are all areas that get hit by hurricanes regularly not to mention floods. FEMA should have been rolling first thing Monday. MSM needs to get their tails there and show what isn't happening. All those Midwest states that voted for Trump will get to see what they can look forward to when they get ripped by a tornado.

18. The value of experience

President Clinton would have had people in place who knew what they hell they were doing. Would there have been some personal favorites in some positions? Almost certainly. But they would have had governmental experience, they would have contacts in various places, and they'd know who to call in the state bureaucracies to coordinate efforts. That's what happens when you staff government positions with people who believe in the role and mission of government.

Trump and his people don't believe the government has much of a role in civil society, beyond facilitating the transfer of treasury money into the overstuffed pockets of the wealthy. Natural disasters aren't their thing, and all the unpleasantness associated with floods, fires, earthquakes and tornadoes are really someone else's problem. Trump's people don't know who to call in various states, who's in charge of what, or even what services first responders provide. Oh, they might have a notion that doctors and hospitals need to attend to the needs of the injured and sick, but even such concerns as how to get victims to a care facility are just too picayune for them to worry about.

These luckless people in Georgia and Mississippi are about to re-learn a very expensive lesson first taught by Katrina.

He's already pledged to help them, but they need to understand he has more pressing matters to deal with, like signing lots of executive orders to hurt, and piss off those who don't support him. Losers.

Then there's the press problem he's having. They've been reporting really nasty truths about his beautiful lies regarding his amazing, and yuge inauguration. Now they're doing the same ugly type reporting on his perfect lie about millions of illegal votes. Pathetic.

Seriously, what do these people think is more important, his ego or their lives? If he were still allowed to lock himself in the bathroom with his phone at 3 AM he'd give all these whiners a YUGE piece of his mind. Damn, I bet he misses that phone.

acknowledged the devastation and death. All he cares about are his goddamned election numbers and how many people attended his inauguration. What a sick, disgusting excuse of a human being. I really don't see how anybody could think of him otherwise.

That didn't happen with these tornados so they should just pull up the old boot straps and be thankful it missed Trump's land.

not being able to enjoy the White House to give a crap about some people who lost their homes and family.

There's probably nobody in charge at FEMA.
