Trump backs down when confronted

Week one of the great leader.

May: NATO. He wants her to like him so he can't say squat at the meeting and she defends it.

General Mattis: Says no to torture so CreepsterTrump will respect that even though he "knows" it works.

Mexico:
Trump and Neito agree no more wall talk in public.

http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2017/01/trump-and-nieto-had-an-hour-long-phone-call.html

And no Russian lifting of the sanctions yet "too early". Oh he and lover Vlad want to consummate their relationship so badly but all the Republicons are warning him.

http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/316595-mcconnell-warns-trump-dont-lift-russia-sanctions

Stand up to this bully and it works. I'm feeling a scant better. Week one from the weak one.

Had one in my immediate family and I know all the tricks they pull and how to deal with them. Maybe it's why I'm not upset and hating on drumptf. I've seen this act before, it's not worth the energy to get angry and upset. In fact, the more upset YOU get, the happier it makes them. Creating kaos is like a drug to them and makes them high.

Stay calm, determined, and move forward.

And the secret weapon...they can not stand to be bored or alone with their thoughts.Their inner life is a nightmare which they are constantly trying to escape from. That's why all the kaos. They enjoy watching you suffer, so if you show no reactions to their provocations they eventually get bored and move to easier targets.

I have heard over and over after someone has a sit down meeting with Trump that they come out liking him.
Trump always, ALWAYS tells people he's talking with EXACTLY what they want to hear.
That's his technique.

It means absolutely NOTHING. It's simply a ploy to get them on his side.
When it gets down to actually making decisions, anything he has said or agreed to is ignored and he will do whatever he wants.

Always remember that everything he says, particularly in a one to one meeting, is a out and out lie which will only be used to manipulate the person he's talking with.

he only cares about being liked. The Mexican president is not backing down and May can't on NATO. So he has resistance and I don't think he actually cares about any of it-but being liked. He's one of a kind. I don't think he manipulated the situation at all with Neito, Neito said NYET to his wall and Trump escalated. Then the idiots realized that a tariff is not an answer for the American people and he backed down. He lost to Mexico in round uno. I very much doubt May or Neito was charmed by him. (Neito seems to hate him if your read his twitter and I do) They just know they have to work with him because he is though it pains me to say this, the freaking president of the United States.

I know he lies with everything. But now he doesn't get to pick and choose what he does. YES I will say it there actually are some checks and balances at play. He thinks he's emperor but he's not. He has to work with the world or he will be reviled.

Same as what happened with his first sit-down with Obama. He came out saying that he thought the pre-existing condition nondiscrimination and the parent's coverage on children until 25 was actually something he'd support. (who knows if he will though)

You can play him like a cheap guitar. Putin knows it, Bannon knows it. And Obama knew it. The question is how much vomit can one swallow as you smile and preen and compliment him in order to get a small concession, one that he may just forget about an hour later.

Maybe we should ask Melania

one on one meetings with him. He will say anything to get that fix of adoration. Bannon knows that and is using it to his advantage. But, narcissists being what they are, that too will fail. Twitler trusts his children because he sees them as an extension of himself. Everybody else is on borrowed time.

Reversing course, Trump administration will continue Obamacare outreach
By Rachana Pradhan and Paul Demko

The Trump administration has reversed plans to scrap all Obamacare outreach in the finals days of the law's enrollment period, a day after the move sparked outcry from the law's supporters and health insurers.

But that shit works for people with red hats in Kansas and Brietbart and Fox news. It doesn't cut it with world leaders. So he either blows the joint up or he's going to have to answer for the crap he says and does. I certainly think there is as much chance he blows it up.

LBN has him reversing his opinion on NATO after meeting May -sure he can change back tomorrow. But this isn't going to work with people in the pentagon and elsewhere. He is in the big leagues bigly- maybe he just realized this week. Or maybe he realized nothing and we are doomed. God only knows.

DT has the Congress, the courts, the media, public opinion/polls, the Constitution, his Cabinet. And last but not least, when he signs his name to something, he can't take it back and lie about it the next day like when he was campaigning.

I just wish he could keep his big mouth shut and quit shaking a stick at all the groups around the world that hate the U.S. anyway. It's like throwing stones at a hornet's nest.

Whereas, had just a few more people stood up for Hillary and got more voters to vote for her instead of the shitgobbin, we'd have the senator who left office with a 66% approval rating and the confidence in her to back that up.

We wouldn't have to protest daily/weekly any of the absolute shitstorm that has resulted since REPUBLICANS took power and started the looting of our institutions on January 2nd, 2017.

Very frustrated, to say the least.

The only thing that ironically has made it better for me IS the Putin involvement. I like to think that was the deciding factor and not just the idiocy of our fellow Americans and the heartlessness of some "Democrats." And don't forget Comey-when you think all that Hillary was against and she still probably kinda won and we will never know. And then Scumbag wants to take all we have won for certain-the popular vote away from us=maybe that will be his downfall. He looked ever more like a loon this week. And the White House leaks are still coming. One day at a time.

He is very skilled at manipulation, but he has a toxic level of hubris. And, like any common variety schoolyard bully, when confronted strongly he backs down, whines, and then tries to pretend he's still the big dog.

26. Bullies always back down if confronted.
Fri Jan 27, 2017, 11:08 PM

They continue to bully mainly because they are rarely confronted.

I have an older brother who is a bit of a bully. I also have two older sisters who think there's nothing they can do about him. I keep on saying, "Don't put up with his crap. Confront him. Don't let him get away with it." They think I'm nuts, but I started standing up to him some years ago, and guess which sister he no longer bullies?

I realize my brother and Donald Trump are not quite playing the same game, but it was extremely instructive to me when I saw what happened when I stopped putting up with brother's shit.

For far too long now Donald Trump has gotten away with his bullying because he's perceived as a powerful man. In reality, he's a frightened seven year old who struts about defying anyone and everyone to call him out on his crap. So far he's gotten away with a staggering amount of crap, but hopefully not a lot longer.

He does not understand that politics and the world stage are NOTHING like what he's dealt with so far. I hope his fall completely crushes him and obliterates any and all who have supported him thus far.
