The GOP does not believe that jobs of public workers are real jobs. Because they are paid for by taxes they don't count as part of the economy. Plus these jobs are too secure and should only be temporary, part time or paid at the same level as service economy jobs.

Plus they are jobs for life which is just criminal. You have to justify your existence and prove that you are needed. The GOP has been playing this tune for decades.

I am still hearing the theme from Republicans that firefighters, police, teachers, federal workers, state workers, municipal workers are lazy and really do not do any work. They just suck of the government tit.
