Per Farid Zakaria who got the information from the Cato Institute (conservative think tank.)
ETA: this is people killed by citizens from these countries on American soil and does not include Iraqi soldiers in Iraq that time we invaded them for no reason.
Iraq - 0
Iran - 0
Somalia - 0
Sudan - 0
Syria - 0
Yemen - 0
Libya - 0
Numbers of Americans who have been killed by citizens from countries that were not included in the ban:
Saudi Arabia - 2369
Egypt - 162
UAE - 314
No countries that have a Trump hotel, building or office are on the list, so that's how these three stayed off it.
INCLUDING 9/11, the chance of an American citizen being killed by a terrorist on American soil since 1975 is 1 in 3.6 million per year.

(17,019 posts)I was not being flip. I was comparing the fact that the countries that have been banned have not killed anyone in the US but bees certainly have.

(531 posts)it just smarts when people say how small your likelihood is to die that way when it hasn't even been a year since 49 gay people were mowed down in cold blood by an islamist terrorist.

this didn't do much to improved the attitude towards muslims by the right wing in this country. The fact that he was born here doesn't seem to matter to them, only that he's a brown guy and he prays to Allah.

(51,004 posts)EO ban makes any sense or would have prevented any deaths in the last 40 years. It wouldn't have.
bees and peanut butter is flip. It has been seven months. It is still raw. 49 people died, bees and peanut butter notwithstanding.

(531 posts)may they rest in peace in a better world and those murdered and maimed in Boston too by terrorists not on either list...this is no kind of exact science and it shows just how ineffective this policy is...the one country whose nationals killed the most is not on this ridiculous list.

(32,077 posts)Americans killed off shore do not count. Just limiting it to "on American soil." The OP is able to say no one has been killed on American soil because he/she knows absolutely no one keeps track of that information.

(10,724 posts)and no one died from a terrorist attack here by anyone from those countries. Meanwhile, the prime offenders are left untouched, presumably because twitler has business interests in those countries and doesn't want to ruffle any feathers that are making him money.

(2,297 posts)Just gutsy to exclude a well known incident that killed something like a hundred New Yorkers. It was a pretty big deal in NY at the time, maybe not elsewhere.

(36,885 posts)The OP has to do with actions on US soil.
Why are you trying to obfuscate the point of the OP?
