BTW, Sears is already circling the drain. It sold off its Craftsman tools label recently.

(10,724 posts)Marriage equality, for instance. Long before there was any public consensus or much political support for it, some of the largest US corporations extended benefits to same-sex partners. 600 corporations, businesses and organization signed on to the 2014 push for immigration reform (stillborn in that do-nothing congress).
Women's rights are less universally supported, perhaps because they worry about suits from past (and current) practices, but there are some good actors and a lot of forward-looking effort.
