All the nuance about Bain Capital and who tied what to the roof is surreal, to me.
A major party candidate for President of the United States of America wants to end the medicare program.
Until such time that Romney puts forward a specific, detailed proposal for what he wants to do with Medicare that is radically different from the Ryan budget he supports then there is nothing else to talk about. There is nothing else to run on.
Just sayin'

(34,589 posts)I suspect he'll end up wanting to raise the eligibility age like Obama has supported. Maybe add a few free-market frills.

(10,960 posts)an etch-a-sketch candidate is to make him do the etch-a-sketch on YOUR timetable, not his.
Force the issue so the thrashing to pretzel to the general election position happens in public.
Hence the OP. No Dem should have said anything about anything for months other than, "Mitt Romney has stated that he plans to end Medicare."
Force him to abandon the Ryan plan on TV. Don't wait for him to present some dumb, vague policy paper in September that forgets the Ryan plan ever existed.
