I don't care who the nominee is. The fact is, he's mainstream, given the circumstances in . . . .

. . . . which we find ourselves.

We have a "Republican"* president and a Republican Congress. They're not going to nominate anyone we'd like. They're going to nominate a conservative. Given who President Bannon is, they're going to nominate a far right radical activist judge. No amount of whining or wishing is going to change that.

So I don't care who the nominee is.

His record doesn't matter. His ideology doesn't matter. t don't care if he voted in favor of a law in East Bumfuck that all women are to remain barefoot and pregnant for the rest of their child bearing years. I don't care if he personally makes and then donates peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for all the poor kids in Greater Denver.

Even his name doesn't matter.

All that matters is fighting him with every means possible. If the carpeting in the Senate chamber has to run with Democratic blood, I want a fight for the sake of fighting.

Winning will be a bonus.

*To call President Bannon a Republican is laughable.

No more compromise, no more surrender to the fascist Republicans. By the very act of accepting Trump's nomination Gorsuch has show that he is unworthy to be on the Court.

Repugs started the obstruction game. It's only fair Dems now fight fire with fire. Obstruction the next 4 years till they put Garland in place.

After the R's went a year with no hearings on Garland, 8 Democrats will not vote with them for the swing vote on Roe vs. Wade. And, the R's will not accept going back to the drawing board for a more moderate choice.

The worst part about this is that the R's will probably lose support over going nuclear, but it will have played out so long before the midterms that idiot voters will have forgotten about it and they'll be focusing on other things. That's what happened with the 2014 midterms after their Congressional shutdown failed.

He is a far right extremist, well beyond the far right of the repug party. He is a parasite who has ridden on their name to get where he wants to be.

This is not to praise the repug party. It is simply to point to what is.
