If you add up all the things that Trump is doing or has planned it is about making Christianity the official religion in the US. By letting the churches become their own PACS with the ability to direct fund campaigns and endorse candidates from the pulpit you are empowering them and recognizing them as the state religion in a way.

It also means giving churches tax money and supporting their schools with tax money via vouchers. Allowing religious freedom to discriminate against LGBTQ also allows Christians to discriminate against anyone who is not a Christian. That dictum includes punishing women having sex outside of marriage or who have had abortions or use birth control and a host of other things.

Such a policy also means even MEDICAL CARE can be denied if it violates your religious beliefs. It becomes a can of worms.
