So, I called my Senators . . .

Sort of. Sen Ted Cruz got a busy signal repeatedly. Finally got thru and only option is leave message. Mailbox is full. Called both DC and Dallas offices. Same results.

Sen John Cornyn was same as Cruz. Was finally able to leave a message with a polite aid in the Dallas office re Betsy DeVoss. DC mailbox is full.

Seems they might be a bit busy these days . . .

Called my Rep, Joe Barton. No answer in DC. Called the local office and spoke to a polite aid. Said to her a $40B wall is insane and sending military into Mexico is more insane. Has he considered what this would do to the Texas economy? Would the Congressman please tell Trump he is President, not king?

Asked if she was getting a lot of calls like this. She said, "We're getting a lot . . uh, well about what you'd expect."

Tie up the phone bank, fill up the mailbox then call again tomorrow. Lather, rinse repeat . . .

http://coloradotimesrecorder.com/2017/01/voicemail-boxes-gardner-coffman-full/2871/

snip...

Gardner’s voicemail box has been full for days as citizens have focused on stopping the lawmaker from voting to repeal Obamacare. Citizens have also been trying to find out what his replacement plan is, if any.

The line of U.S. Rep. Mike Coffman (R-Aurora) has also been full, sending callers to a recording stating, “Honorable Coffman main line is not available. This mailbox is full.”

U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet’s (D-CO) office was accepting messages from citizens today, as was U.S. Rep. Diana DeGette’s (D-CO) line.

They are such fucking hypocrites.

on edit: I call one of Gardner's other offices in Colorado.
