Fundraising Underway for Bowling Green Massacre Memorial

With a goal of $983 million, it may be a while before construction begins, but the new memorial will be the home for a memorial featuring the engraved names of all victims. Here's an artist's conception of the memorial-to-be, with name(s) to be engraved later:

Most of the costs, they say, are involved with planning and top-level staffing. Sounds OK to me, though. I mean, it's a freaking memorial for victims. Cost is really irrelevant, don't you think? Besides, that memorial will be solid brass! That stuff's not cheap.
