Man accused of killing and eating a dog during a drug-fueled rampage

A man high on synthetic marijuana killed and ate a 30- to 40-pound dog, according to police.

Michael Daniel of Waco, Texas, was charged on Monday for an incident earlier this month in which he allegedly got down “on his hands and knees and chased a neighbor while barking and growling like a dog,” according to KWTZ.

Daniel then took a black dog onto a house's front porch, beat and strangled the canine and then “began to bite into the dog, ripping pieces of flesh away,” Waco Police Sgt. Patrick Swanton told KWTZ.

Daniel allegedly told neighbors he was high on synthetic marijuana, sometimes called K-2.

I thought marijuana usually makes people very subdued and calm. People high on regular marijuana usually don't devour dogs.

And where I've seen some scary things regarding some of the synthetic cannabinoids (like the JWH series), I've never heard of anything crazy like this. I'm kind of doubting that K2 caused this man to go batshit insane. But then again, little testing has been done on these drugs, so it might be possible.

Although it is actually just dried herbs sprayed with chemicals, none of which are cannabanoids.

I'll look next time, but I find it hard to believe that word would be allowed on advertising in the head shops.

But people make the mistake of thinking that synthetic cannabinoids are the same thing as THC and the other cannabinoids in marijuana. It's far easier to self-titrate with real marijuana, it's rather hard to smoke too much and get very uncomfortable. Also, you tend to get only so high with marijuana at which point you'll reach a plateau. Most of these synthetics don't really have a plateau or have a much higher one. So smoking as little as 5mgs or so of them can cause extremely unpleasant effects.

And there is a domain for ksincense.org that has been taken over by ICE/Dept of Homeland Security.

Guess this is the latest, greatest new thing after Bath Salts.

Is Liquid Plumber "Synthetic Marijuana?... notice the media is trying to link drug abusers on various chemicals as "marijuana related".
