MSM Cuts Kellyanne Conway from Sunday Shows

She's not on any of them this week. My suggestion is that all major media companies simply refuse to allow her on their programs from here on out. She consistently talks over interviewers, lies, and obfuscates. Answering questions is something she avoids doing in every interview, preferring to try to change the subject so she can avoid a relevant response.

If every major news program simply refused to have her on camera, we'd all get a break from her annoyingly nasal voice and word salad responses.

Email the news department of the networks you regularly watch and request that they not put her on the air hereafter. Let's have a permanent break from having to look at her.

As long as she's on, keeping up with her schtick, it just makes the lying that much more glaring. She's becoming annoying. I watch clips of her and if they're eight minutes or 12 minutes or how-ever long, I'm usually rolling my eyeballs and looking for the exits before she's a minute in.

I HOPE the MSM is closing the door on her. I've seen others posting here that as soon as she comes on, they switch the channel. I'm with them. TOTAL TURN-OFF Barbie.

POUND on them, then, too! Give 'em the "Kellyanne treatment"! No matter who they haul out, he or she is going to be a liar and distorter. Avalanche on them with emails, letters, cards, phone calls, we used to send telegrams, too, once upon a time. Not sure that's an option anymore. I've even thought it'd be cool to hire skywriters, but not sure what that'd cost.

I'm SO glad CNN said no, and I hope that's permanent. I'm so done with her it's not even funny anymore. And SHE'S not even fun anymore! She really screwed up with the whole "alternative facts" thing, combined with the Bowling Green Massacre blunder - all of which cost her credibility not only with viewers and listeners but also - and more importantly - the news media. Judging from the interview videos I've seen lately, a whole slew of news folk are ONTO her now, and don't appreciate her attempts to talk over, lie to, and try to snooker them. I wouldn't book her on anymore, either.

I'm wondering if this is why we don't see that obnoxious "Babbling Boris" Epshteyn anymore. And that smug Gish Galloper Steve Cortes. And where's Scottie Nell Cutesy-Name these days? SHEESH... Scottie Nell... OY...

Conway had value to them until she didn't. She's out because she over-reached with her fake news. Her Bowling Green Massacre reference was over the top because she violated a basic tenet of propaganda: she had no element of truth to her false reference. Her comment couldn't rise above the standard for propaganda and therefore, couldn't reach the false legitimacy for infotainment.

But she's not gone forever. She'll sit on the shelf, but WILL come back to create more interference. But from this point forward, her brand is tarnished. After her run with Trumpy, her employment choices will be limited to a narrow sliver of media entertainment.

The scary part is how many of our fellow countrymen have fallen for their brand of propaganda. She, more than any one person is probably responsible for getting Trump elected. His whole campaign seemed to turn around when they brought her on board.

Still I have to admire her abilities and wish we had someone with her talents on our side. It seems we can't succeed by using facts and simply telling the truth.

So my intention is to avoid her at all costs. If more people tune her out (and change the channel), the broadcasters will not want her on their networks. So there is hope we can freeze these most annoying and disgusting spokesmen from the news and opinion programming.

If they start lying, talking over people, or start doing that whole schtick about something somebody else did that sucked bigly, they need to get muted and the interview is over. Tell them answer with the truth, stop your crap, and act like a human being with some manners, or else we will mute you and boot your ass for good.

I saw two different segments this morning where people sat and LIED without shame, and they never blinked when they did it. NOT once. It was pathetic. News media can clean this up if they have the balls to do it. All the anchor has to say is, "Well, ______ needed to be shut off because we know he was lying. And now to _______"

If the GOP wants to object then let them throw their fit. Just report what you know to be true--the stuff that can be proved--and fuck them for being liars. "We have no comment from the other side of this story because they all got caught lying in previous segments."

I am well and truly over those lying GOP sacks of shit. Treat them like the lyin' turds they really are.

We don’t know yet how sharp the Trump administration’s attacks will be over time or to what extent those attacks will be accompanied by legal restrictions on our news-gathering. But we do know that we must follow the same rules that govern our work anywhere, namely:

Do’s:

Cover what matters in people’s lives and provide them the facts they need to make better decisions.
Become ever-more resourceful: If one door to information closes, open another one.
Give up on hand-outs and worry less about official access. They were never all that valuable anyway. Our coverage of Iran has been outstanding, and we have virtually no official access. What we have are sources.
Get out into the country and learn more about how people live, what they think, what helps and hurts them, and how the government and its actions appear to them, not to us.
Keep the Thomson Reuters Trust Principles close at hand, remembering that “the integrity, independence and freedom from bias of Reuters shall at all times be fully preserved.”
