I really like some of their writers over there but the pro Russian bent by some writers and comments by pro Trump people are a big turnoff.

I don't mean to start an argument. Just take your time and PM me some day. Like I said I don't throw the baby out with the bath water and will always give Scahill a chance.

(46,166 posts)I don't find anything wrong with taking America or Dems to task over there any more than I do when I read it here at DU. I don't read some of the writers, like anywhere else.
The new podcast, Intercepted, has been good so far. Greenwald took part in the first discussion, it was a good listen. The second week was other people in the round table with Scahill. I'll be listening every week. It's straight forward and characterized by Scahill's approach. Too many of the other political podcasts are filled with people trying to out-glib each other. I like his serious, straight forward way.
I don't believe in throwing out the baby with the bath water.
I suppose you can look forward to the focus around here in your thread to be mostly on Greenwald. But The Intercept is about more than one person. He's easy pickings.

(9,033 posts)Press should be neither stenographers nor cheerleaders. I expect my government to be held to account; that's why the necessity of a free press is specified in the Constitution.
I'd like to see some links to so-called pro-Russian writers; but I don't give a rip about the comments since I don't read them.
