(5,810 posts)while his disapproval numbers soar. Oh, to be a fly on the wall when he gets his daily numbers. I realize nothing really gets through to him enough to change his behavior, but the constant criticism does take its toll on him. He isn't used to having anyone defy him, much mess mock him. With his fragile ego and mental health issues driving him, I predict it won't take a lot longer for him to crack or have a public meltdown. Just keep the cameras ready because there are plenty of us who would PAY to see that.

(7,113 posts)Of course, we all want his Approval rate to sink, but I didn't cite that number in the OP title since it's not news -- he's been at 42 percent Approval a couple days before.
However, his current DISapproval number -- 53 percent -- is a new high for the portion of survey respondents who think Trump stinks.
But all nitpicking aside, one thing IS absolutely true: No honeymoon!

(7,432 posts)abandon ship. He's getting close.
The GOP's numbers are already abysmal, but their propaganda machine and their gerrymandering efforts have spared them enough oxygen to barely survive. But Trumpy The Great will sink and pull the GOP down with him if they aren't smart.

(7,113 posts)Remember immediately after the release of the Access Hollywood tape, how GOPers were un-endorsing Trump and urging him to drop out of the race? That's because they assumed the Trumplodytes would ditch him.
But when his poll numbers quickly bounced back, all the GOPers forgot everything and un-un-endorsed him.
They'll cling to anything that's a winner, but they have no loyalty when the tide turns.

(10,832 posts)the numbers continue to tank because in a Democratic Republic, the populace is governed by consent. He sinks into the 30's or lower, even the weasel Republicans will start running for the exits. Trump may be the first president to draw a false equivalency between the US and Putin's Russia. You know, the guy who assassinates journalists and political critics. And Trump spewed the garbage publicly in an interview with freaking Bill O'Reilly. Never heard about not airing dirty laundry in front of the neighbors, I suspect. Let alone being provocative and dangerously loose-lipped just for the sake of attention. There's some discussion that these statements were made deliberately so that his ratings would be akin to Super Bowl numbers. The man is deranged, dangerous.
I'm wondering when Duarte in the Philippines will receive a bouquet from the Don for paying citizens $300 a head for druggies. There's something to admire and replicate.
Ugh.

(5,275 posts)I too am distressed with only 53% having issues with all the this. If true what is wrong with the rest of us?

(36,444 posts)64% are not in Trump's camp. And those are pretty respectable numbers considering we are only two weeks into the orange anus's term. Patience, grasshopper.

(6,639 posts)Trump can't bring back all those manufacturing & coal mining jobs he promised his followers, and he knows it. Most of those jobs are done by machines now. That's when the real shitstorm will start.
