Bill Kristol, the founder and editor at large of another right-leaning magazine The Weekly Standard who has been a critic of Trump, speculated whether the willingness of some Republicans to "excuse Trump" might be "eroding."

ERODING ? WTF. It's moral cowardice, pure and simple. There is NO equivalency between the Russian government and our government in terms of domestic policies. NONE. French nailed it in saying any Democrat would have been quickly condemned. We need to shove this giant shitball of a mistake into Trump's face at every possible opportunity. I never thought I'd see the day when a REPUBLICAN President says such a stupid and morally bankrupt thing. I've been to Russia. I liked the Russian people. Their government under Putin ? It sucks, domestically and in foreign policy. We all know how it sucks, no need for me to catalog the long list.
