Trump: the media actively suppresses news of terrorist attacks to fulfill a political agenda

Speaking to the U.S. Central Command on Monday, President Trump went off his prepared remarks to make a truly stunning claim: The media was intentionally covering up reports of terrorist attacks.
“You’ve seen what happened in Paris, and Nice. All over Europe, it’s happening,” he said to the assembled military leaders. “It’s gotten to a point where it’s not even being reported. And in many cases the very, very dishonest press doesn’t want to report it. They have their reasons, and you understand that.”

Hope that doesn't sound crass

But why would any news outlet not want to draw viewers/readers?

Media should demand a few specific examples. He won't have any, of course, except incidents like the Bowling Green Massacre.

c'mon Trump, don't leave everyone guessing. sure, we could make some up, but they might not have culprits from ethnic groups you specifically want to scapegoat or victims you want to martyr. best if you tell everyone what the media missed, so you can ensure coverage of these very important imaginary disasters.

we're not hearing about attacks that we ARE hearing about?

Maybe what he means is that the media coverage isn't a round-the-clock "fright-fest" when stuff happens?
