The Power To Fight The Koch Brothers Is Sitting Next To Your Toilet

http://front.moveon.org/the-power-to-fight-the-koch-brothers-is-sitting-next-to-your-toilet/?rc=daily.share

There are a number of alternative toilet paper brands to choose from. Which direction you hang it from the roll is entirely up to you.

Join Senator Jeff Merkley (D-OR) in urging Ben Bernanke and the Fed to close down the JP Morgan loophole so high-risk trading doesn't wreck our economy again.

Scott Paper makes my TP. but I don't use any of those other items. Kimberly-Clark makes it and has a union group that I'd never heard of before, Steve, so I'm posting it here for all. It has 20 million workers in it:

UNI Global Union
, also called Union Network International

UNI Global Union is a global union federation for skills and services, gathering national and regional trade unions. It was launched on January 1, 2000, as Union Network International. Its more than 900 affiliated unions in 140 countries have 20 million members. The head office is in Nyon, near Geneva, Switzerland.

UNI was the result of the merger of four organisations: FIET (International Federation of Employees, technicians and managers), MEI (Media and Entertainment International), IGF (International Graphical Federation) and CI (Communications International, formally PTTI).

On March 2, 2009, it changed its name, to UNI Global Union. A new logo and website were launched for the occasion.

Here is the official union website. They are very interesting and active. Check out the things that are coming up:

If you have a link to show them aligned to Scott Walker like the Koch Brothers are, please post it so I can tell people.

Their official website says Scott Paper was founded in Pennsylvania in 1879 over a century ago, is said to be based in Neenan, WI, and had business with Canadian firms, but they merged with Kimberly Clark in 1995, despite keeping the Scott name. Their headquarters are located in Dallas, Texas.

Since they are unionized, it does not necessarily mean they are not Walker supporters, which is what I'm guessing you are telling me here as having local knowledge that I have not found.

Seriously, if you have an alternative to using Koch or anti-union TP, which I cannot by googling prove that Scott is not, please let me know. I don't use any other paper products. I've tried getting my apartment manager to install a bidet, but he said no. LOL!

Another posters suggests they may be Scott Walker supporters. At least we can avoid what we know about directly from the graphic Steve gave in the OP.

we really do hold the power as consumers, but people really don't co-operate much. there's a communication problem. I still don't understand, for example, how self-proclaimed animal lovers can continue to buy "pork" products. I pig is very like a dog. Don't be a bigot. I have been avoiding Koch products since they first surfaced in the political news. Let's all do this, boycott them and consider boycotting cruelty also.

Very rushed and can't attend to many things. The harder ones are the ones who believe it is part of their family tradition. If they feel you are insulting that, they put up a force field and refuse to listen. If the case is made for several reasons, at times I have been able to convince people that it's important. I find also a good example is essential. If they feel you are someone they want to emulate, they may follow your advice.

I used to deliver gas and diesel. Conoco was our big brand. Koch was one of our suppliers. Independents, commercial accounts, etc, have no idea what brand they are getting UNLESS THEY ASK when ordering!

HERE IS WHY.. from the Old DU board..iT IS SHOWN TO PROVE I TRIED IT..

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x533489

.
.I tried it in two places.
.Here and at an old Ed Shultz board..here is what I found out:

Many of the Koch Bros products are made in union shops..Fair wages and benefits.
.
The brothers would like nothing more for an
excuse to drop the unions and go to non union..a successful boycott would be such an excuse..They are so wealthy, it really wouldn't
make such a difference to them, but to those that lost their union jobs, in exchange for cheeper non union workers..well that is
another story...Therefore a boycott is a waste of time, and will hurt those who matter the most

That is what I found out, and I am against it for those reasons..end of rant..(I was schooled on this at the Ed Shultz board by a couple of very knowledgable union guys) .........

that is my opinion..
