Report: NBC to Spin Off SNL's "Weekend Update"

NBC is reportedly in talks to expand Saturday Night Live’s “Weekend Update” segment into its own 30-minute primetime weekly show, according to Politico. Variety reports that the show has upped its viewership by 22 percent. NBC, however, neither confirmed nor denied Politico's report.

Especially if they periodically brought back guest hosts from years past.

Even if they don't, Jost and Che are good.
