and maybe he thinks 9/11 will be repeated against Trump Tower because he's so important to the continuation of the universe and that gilt and marble horror he lives in on top of it will be destroyed.

Or maybe he is playing to a bunch of chickenshits in flyover country who are scared of everybody who looks different or speaks a foreign language.

For now, it looks like he's being stopped on that front. I hope that continues.

Some American casualties - blamed on Islamic extremists somewhere. Martial law. GOP completely morphs into the Fourth Reich.

Or let's impeach him like NOW.

Either that or it's going to take a major storming of the Bastille moment.

If people are afraid, they follow meekly..

...because it fits into the nationalistic and fundamentalist narrative they've bought into for over 25 years now. Bannon believes we are already at war with Islam, and is actively looking to make moves that bring that perceived clash to a head. The more they can put us in fear, the more control Trump can exercise and justify his brand of Authoritarian leadership. That's why he keeps waging war on the media and touting fabricated or extremely embellished terrorism stories... He seeks to discredit the press and the judiciary so that we see him as the ONLY source of authority and information.

But we've been down this road with W. and I don't think most people are up for a re-run, especially with this asshole in charge.

That is how W got his dumb ass reelected. We all know Rump is completely self absorbed. He would have started thinking about the next election a couple weeks after the last one. Not that he has put any thought into anything else, just whatever makes him look good.

Trump's been itching for war since the primaries, and now he's talking smack and thumping his chest. He's stocked his cabinet with the military and they were all trained for one purpose; win wars. He's surrounded himself with neocons, warmongers and religious whackos set on triggering the the end of the world to bring on the Rapture. He's constantly talking about building an even bigger military force, and he's advocated greatly expanding our nuclear arsenal. Look at how often he's threatening to pull out of the UN and NATO, and why has he deliberately pissed off our best allies around the world?

War!

They had to be Muslim and they had to be from countries he has no financial interests in. It would cost him a fortune if he banned Saudis for example.
