a desperate asshole who'd just been deeply embarrassed. When the audience went "Ooooh" clearly it was a reaction to the massive burn he'd been subjected to.

Didnt come across well on the show because of the brouhaha but he's wonderfully funny and smart. And happily decadent. I've seen him twice and he's also astonishingly kind toward people of all sorts. That's one reason the audience loved him.

was unfortunately lost, the moronic notion that Trump was somehow the ‘lesser’ of two evils, and that Trump has in fact been an agent of evil, with regard to EOs, cabinet appointments, and the judiciary.

Yes, inasmuch as they're still a bunch of embarrassing buffoons, but that would be much better than them proceeding with their last-ditch, desperate attempt to retain their power, and instituting these utterly stupid and clearly unconstitutional policies.

I hate when pundits talk over each other and there were a couple times when all four or five were yammering at the same time. Piers kept interrupting and steamrollering everyone, especially Ms Jean-Pierre (who was wonderfully serene and intelligent the entire time). Bill was too conciliatory to the Daily Mail's mouthpiece (Morgan the idiot).

Al Franken's interview was great.

Morgan was an absolute ahole. You can never get them to drift from the GOP talking points. He's for some gun control. Big concession to sanity.

I posted a DEVO/DeVos meme on Facebook along with this Gerald Casale quote:

Q: Tell Us, DEVO: What should we make of Betsy DeVos?
A: Betsy will make sure the poor remain uninformed and without hope.

My brother commented, "I though it was the Democrats' job to keep the poor uninformed and without hope " followed by some rubbish about school choice saving the inner city.

I thought about a reasoned rebuttal before settling on a simple "Fuck off"

Just dismissively cut 'em off, as they are full of it and aren't going to listen to reason anyway! I love Bill Maher.
