5. California does not collect federal taxes.

Taxpayers pay federal taxes directly to the federal government, so unless you got millions of individuals to not pay taxes and risk having the IRS crackdown with hefty penalties or seizure of assets, I don't see how that can happen.

I wonder though, could California find new markets for its' farmers produce and just refuse to sell food to those red states, unless Trump loosens up the purse strings for California?

I like the idea of Twitter cutting off Trump for his racist and misogynistic and bullying remarks, but not sure what legal basis there would be for holding his Twitter account hostage if he won't pay California.

There may be other ideas some have here. The motion picture industry has clout....anything they can do? Can the state impose a fee on motion pictures shown outside of CA to help collect revenues?

We need some outside the box thinking here.

There's a proposal called "Calexit" now circulating - about California seceding from the union. Stuff like this makes me start thinking more favorably about the idea. How 'bout we KEEP our money, then? FUCK 'EM! Could the time be fast approaching in which they have to learn to limp along without us?
