I'm having a hard time with this, like you guys are. I'd assume Rick is Secret Service, or if he's not, he has super high clearance with another agency like DOE. It would be incredible if he simply posed with this guy, gave his name, etc., and didn't expect to be all over Facebook, Instagram, etc. The only answer my brain will accept while holding on to some semblance of sanity, is that POTUS told him to do it. Or, if he wasn't the one who told the dude who he was, he took the photo just as any Secret Service guy would if he was told to allow the photograph. (Protestors near a POTUS know that you can have some fun posing for photos around the SS, and they are decent sports about it if they don't think you're a threat.) Though why the big grin, I don't know.
