Conspiracy Theory/Head Fake ..... Are "they" trying to change the subject on Flynn

Am I nutz to think that "they" are pushing the look at what a bad person
Flynn is because he lied to Pence* and so he should go meme but the real thing
we should be looking at is that in Flynn's phone calls to Russia he thanked them
and told them that Trump and company would "have Russia's back" because
they had helped to rig the election in order for Trump and other republicans
to win their elections?

* BTW I think that Pence knew all Trump and Flynn's connections to Russia
and the election hacking.

(they usually wait until Thursday or Friday) so it will be interesting to see if anyone else picks this up the rest of the week.

And they hope people will stop asking questions, to include what Flynn said to Russia. Flynn's gone! Problem solved! You can all shut up now!

And, oh yeah, Pence knew. I agree. Framing it as Flynn lying to Pence absolves Pence.

worse.

I just watched the start of Anderson Cooper and they treated Flynn soberly and didn't diminish the potential problems. It's potentially a big deal. And the discussion went beyond the problem of lying to Pence...WHO it was that directed him to do call Russia and....WHY? Talked about why Trump has never said a bad word about Russia and Putin.

There's a lot they didn't cover...how was it that Flynn sat at the right hand of Putin during a celebratory dinner honoring Russian TV. Manafort, Cage, etc deserve investigation. But CNN, at least, is taking this seriously so far and led with it as discussion with Fareed and Gergen.

WASHINGTON — Michael T. Flynn, the embattled national security adviser, faced an uncertain future on Monday as White House officials delivered conflicting messages about whether he still enjoys the confidence of President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence.

The Justice Department had warned the White House that Mr. Flynn had misled senior Trump administration officials about whether he had discussed American sanctions against Vladimir V. Putin’s regime during a phone call with Russia’s ambassador to the United States weeks before the inauguration, and that he could be open to blackmail by Russia, said a former senior official. At the same time, Mr. Pence has told administration officials that he believes Mr. Flynn lied to him by saying he had not discussed the topic of sanctions on a call with the ambassador in late December. Even the mere discussion of policy — and the apparent attempt to assuage the concerns of an American adversary before Mr. Flynn took office — represents a remarkable breach of protocol.

The F.B.I. has been examining Mr. Flynn’s phone calls as he has come under growing questions about his interactions with Russian officials and his management of the National Security Council. In addition, the Army has been investigating whether Mr. Flynn received money from the Russian government during a trip he took to Moscow in 2015, according to two defense officials.

Such a payment might violate the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution, which prohibits former military officers from receiving money from a foreign government without consent from Congress. The defense officials said there was no record that Mr. Flynn, a retired three-star Army general, filed the required paperwork for the trip.

Just look @ how bad that nasty Flynn guy was to Pence by lying to him about his
phone calls to Russia ..... but nothing about Flynn thanking Russia for helping to
rig the 2016 elections.

The reason there is so much confusion is that the folks in 45's inner circle are bending themselves in pretzels trying to keep from admitting that whatever Flynn said to the Russian ambassador the same day that sanctions were imposed by Pres. Obama was known to and ordered by 45 himself. Which makes him guilty of everything and anything that folks want to hang on Flynn. They are both guilty! Period!

That would almost be too close to an impeachable offense so they are trying to avoid any indication that 45 knew about the conversation between Flynn and the Russian ambassador.

I just hope that somewhere in that transcript of the conversation Flynn said something to implicate 45 himself. With Sessions as AG and the group of 45ers inside both Intel agencies...it's going to be difficult to get the real information out there. Just hope for a whistleblower who has his ticket to Mexico or Canada and makes it out ok as he or she drops the information.

45 is guilty as hell and complicit in whatever Flynn does.

Now how did Trump know to ask Russia for such help? BTW McConnell was in it up to
his eyeballs too. Because how did he know that after the election the pick for the
SCOTUS would be much more to his liking?

*******

An example of just how deep the Russian hacking was into the election ..... they were
into the county level in Wisconsin and were fucking with down ticket races too.
