DU has come together so much since the primaries/election

I find myself in total agreement with members I used to disagree with.
Whatever animus was here is evaporating as we all face the common
threat. When I joined DU in 05 we were all united against Bush. The
primaries were tough here with all the infighting, but now, as when Bush
was prez, we have a common enemy. Hillary won the vote, she should be the
President. As a Bernie fan, (HRC voter) I know that either Dem candidate would be
light years ahead of Trump.
But the spirit here is unity, resistance, like it used to be.

During the Bush days it was similar. Now it seems the dangers are much worse. Just happy DU is still here and kickin'! And I'm glad to be here with you all.

We'll get through this shit, don't you worry... I remain optimistic. Call me naive I guess but whatevs. Just remember... we survived the Bush years. We can do this!

We can't have the country being thrown in the pit of hell every 8 years to have a Democratic President spend 8 hard years bringing us back to a little above ground zero. We can't have the hatred in primaries as we chose a standard bearer, hopefully the new DNC Chair will figure out how to include Democrats and Democratic leaning Independents in the primary process in a way that eliminated GOP ratfucking activity. All primaries should be open to Democrats and Independents that have been registered as Independents for at least 6 months or just turned 18 and registered as an Independent.
