To me, it's breathtaking.
I always had a gut feeling this would be a giant FUBAR, but I'm actually shocked it's happening so soon.
And yes, I'm old enough to remember all three of those things and maybe this isn't on the scale of those events...but this is HUGE and imo, a history changing event
