is compromised would have kept him from even being nominated. With Trump he knew and approved of what Flynn was doing.

If they don't really investigate this it would prove that they, the Republicans, only care bout power and not the country. This is what I already believe to be the case given the hypocrisy demonstrated by Republican leadership so far.

As an afterthought, and speaking of hypocrisy, where is Darth Vader Dick Cheney? He was always criticizing Obama's foreign policy, where is the outrage over this?
