YouTube Cancels PewDiePie Show, Pulls Channel From Ad Program After His 'Death to All Jews' Stunt

Google’s YouTube has canceled the second season of PewDiePie’s reality show and pulled his channel from its premium advertising program after the Swedish-born vlogger’s prank involving an anti-Semitic slogan gained widespread notice.

The announcement from YouTube came just hours after Disney’s Maker Studios said it was terminating its relationship with PewDiePie, whose actual name is Felix Kjellberg, over the same videos.

Last month PewDiePie, YouTube’s most-subscribed channel with more than 53 million followers, posted several videos detailing a stunt in which he paid two shirtless Indian men to make a video holding up a sign that said “Death to All Jews.”

...IN ANY SHAPE FORM OR FASHION needs to be given their walking papers!

There is NOTHING REMOTELY FUCKING FUNNY about the nazis, the Holocaust, genocide, bigotry, anti-Semitism, etc.

2. So they cancel this but allow Alex Jones to get away with far worse stuff.

Don't get me wrong, PewDiePie definitely deserved it, but they should start cracking down more on this crap.

3. Alex Jones is openly advocating violence on his YouTube channel. It is WAY beyond "okay" and why

in the hell YouTube puts up with it (he has about 1.5 million subscribers -- not a big deal by YouTube standards) I have no idea. He is saying absolutely insane nonsense -- even by Alex Jones standards -- about impending civil war, that Trumpets should engage in violence if "they" try to take down the dear leader, buy guns and ammo and "prepare," etc. -- absolutely insane and grossly irresponsible.

Let him go spew hate on his own website. But he should not get a free public forum.

and PDP still has his channel. The difference is that PDP was essentially employed by YouTube to make a premium show rather than just being an asshole uploading his own videos. But now YouTube's fired him and he's back to being like any other channel. Sort of like the difference between someone yelling on a soapbox in the park vs being an invited speaker.

And yes, Alex Jones is a complete menace, and full of anti-Semitic and far-right CTs.

9. PewDiePie has always struck me as untalented and annoying.

His videos were nothing more than some guy playing indie horror games and overreacting to them. I have to believe 99.9% of his audience consisted of young teenagers.

IMO, he found a goldmine that required very little talent or effort. I don't understand his popularity, but then again, I'm not 12.
