The GOP needed a smoking gun to take cover from looking like a party traitor
You know the serious nutty Trumpeestas out there will wage an unholy tweet and facebook war on any dissenting Republicans in Congress. But with a smoking gun like Flynn/Russia numerous righties can come out swinging. No one individual now is being called a party traitor. There's too many piping up right now against the Orange Bunghole.
