The Longer This Goes On Without A Full, Independent Investigation.....

and the cover-up continues - more people will get caught up in the mess and will go down.

The cover-up here will implicate Repug Party notables and bring down the Repug Party.

This is going to get interesting.

and sending the numbers to my friends and family members to make it really easy for them to call and demand a full investigation. I even wrote a little script for them.

continue...everyone will fill in the gaps of information - with their own idea of what IS happening...the sooner the better - the only problem I have is how truthful the investigation will be..if any at all..

disgusting - so much at stake..so much turmoil...and we have our very own military in the field...imagine how they feel...

It was complicated, with a lot of moving parts and a lot of conspiracies. But the essence of it was, of course, the effort of Nixon and his minions to cover up the connections between the DNC burglars and the White House. The current situation is starting to give off the same odors.

and people won't be brought to justice.

And we're already seeing their behavior being treated as if this was normal.

Nixon and his cronies kept trying to bury the whole scandal for about two years. The hole kept getting deeper and deeper.

the more enthusiastically the investigators and journalists kept digging. I have to think there are some new Woodwards and Bernsteins out there who will find a few Deep Throats and eventually unearth the truth.

And there were even some reasonable Republicans back then.

Where are those Republicans today? Who is going to lead the investigations?

Rand Paul and McCain are ONLY pissed because it takes them away from screwing 20 million out of health care and FAT tax cuts for all of Trumps billionaire buddies.

There's the diff between Repubs in Congress in 1974 and 2017.

I expect mass demonstrations and many tense town halls followed by the weaponization of the issue in time for the 2018 mid terms which are looking less and less rosy for the GOP by the day.

somebody would have said something.

Here, there is an obvious conspiracy how far it goes at this point is unknown but it is the cover up that is most dangerous to Trump. Luckily he's not as smart as he thinks he is and will screw it up.

What ultimately did Nixon in wasn't the bungled burglary that yielded no information....it was the cover up.

He could have came out on day one condemned it and take full responsibility for a political task force that went too far and against his permission....and that would have been it. Much like Reagan did during Iran-Contra.

But I have a feeling in this case, its not along the lines of a bungled burglary.
