CNN: Trump administration leaks are 'cries for help' from panicked officials

The first three weeks of Donald Trump’s presidency have generated a staggering number of anonymous leaks, revealing information that’s credited in part with forcing National Security Advisor Michael Flynn to resign.

On Tuesday, the President took to Twitter to lament that state of affairs, writing, “The real story here is why are there so many illegal leaks coming out of Washington? Will these leaks be happening as I deal on N.Korea etc?”

In the clip below, CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer points out that the President’s complaint is a drastic departure from his praise of Wikileaks during the campaign, prompting reporter Brian Stelter to note that the President is learning, perhaps the hard way, the difference between campaigning and governing.

Stelter then pointed out that the staggering number of leaks is the result of “cries for help” by government officials battered by the administration. “In some cases this is a form of dissent,” Stelter says.

Watch below:

the more porous the sides will become.

Now we hear Trumpy is absolutely furious that people are giving Bannon the credit for all the Big Deciding he's done on those EOs, calling him President Bannon. Since Bannon has already overstepped by appointing himself to the NSC, he might be one of the next ones on the way out. Eventually Trumpy will trust only his immediate family.

One thing we should not expect is help from the Republicans in Congress or from the FBI.

Yeah, that could happen.

President Trump doesn't do "learning." He just knows what he doesn't like and what enhances his "brand." He'll love something as long as it plays to his advantage. The second it ceases to be advantageous, or it turns around and bites him on his pasty white rump-ah, it's the Worst Thing Ever.

Kudos to Blitzer for remembering the time when Candidate Trump was all in favor of the transparency that followed from leaks; right up until the moment leaks didn't come out in his favor.

The industrial strength he-men of the Trump administration don't cry for help, in my estimation. The leaks are more likely a game of tit for tat, carried out from the office of the president and played on a world-wide playing field. These are extremely petty little people running the country.

to step into the power vaccuum and create even more chaos until someone from the outside notices and takes over: Like the police or a social worker.

There was never any reason to believe that this pretender could provide vision, direction and leadership, so it's no surprise that this is how the insiders will devolve into in-fighting.

It's not a dumpster fire: It's more like the pit-bulls attacking each other, and eventually eating their master.

I was wondering how this would all blow up. Makes sense that it would be the VP vs the foreign advisor. That's where the rubber hits the road.

The real question is: What will the GOP leadership do now? Re-paint a shinking ship? Cue the orchestra on the party deck?

One thing is clear: Let's hope there isn't a foreign power looking for a weakness to exploit.

So much for making us all safer......
