Overheard conversation today from some people that I know and are avid Fox viewers. (It's legally familial)
Regarding the situation in the news today:
*It's Obama's fault
*He's running a shadow government using people appointed in his administration who carried over into the Trump administration
*They're doing a "political hit list" with Michael Flynn as the first victim, then it will be Kellyanne Conway, Steve Bannon and finally Trump
*Trump should have fired all Obama appointees once he took office.
*Obama's staying around in Washington to run the shadow government and going back to his community organizer roots
*Obama should just drop dead
*Something something Saul Alinsky

(2,550 posts)The dude actually resigned.
If there was nothing to see, he would have been defended.
Yet stupid people blame Obama?

(53,876 posts)Those people will be idiots to the end.
Let them go down with trump, and he's going down.
There are too many forces arrayed against trump and his cohorts.
There was a former NSA agent on Lawrence last night ... Joy Reid was hosting ... and he something to the effect that "once the full force of of the United States' intel agencies are aligned against anyone, those people need to start lawyering up".
Stuff is about to hit the fan.

(24,461 posts)Paranoid crank magnets who think "President Donald Trump" (or even worse, "President Gary Johnson" was a great idea.
It was never about "economic anxiety". It was never about "shaking things up". It was never about "e-mails".
This was about getting back at this country for having the nerve to elect "President Ni**er". That is ALL President Obama will ever be to a white nationalist crank magnet.

(63,225 posts)Thankfully he left for another job before the election, or else I'd have had to deal with him crowing over Trump's "victory."
He's a Republican truebeliever, and anything that the GOP does wrong is in fact a wrongdoing by Democrats if you dig deep enough.
I posted a pair of comments last year to comment that now seem relevant again:

(4,229 posts)Obama had Robert Gates for instance.
In the past maybe some people have leaked things or criticized their new bosses.
However what I think is difft with Trump is that they are not leaking stuff so much about the admin taking the wrong policy or bungling something, or internal division.
To me it seems like the leaks have more to do with exposing Trump administration LYING to the public about things.
If this was a democratic president the republicans would be calling these people "patriots".
I personally think this level of leaking is way more than just employees loyal to Obama just bitching. I think it is career people who know more than we do and are really worried about whether the admin can be trusted or whether they are under control of foreign powers.

(1,371 posts)be concerned. Not that you can persuade them or change their minds or even educate them to the truth. We are entering a period where their beliefs will move them to acting. We need to be prepared for what that may be and i really don't know at this time what that will be but we can't just dismiss their delusions.

(601 posts)These people can't be reasoned with. They make up the 30% of this country that supported Shrub until the bitter end. When I realize someone is a right-wing nut job I don't even try to talk politics with them. It's pointless.
