But I think they are doing high fives. We have to understand that they, and millions of voters apparently, don't see what we see. I didn't see the whole presser, just clips from CNN, and the President seemed less angry, more personable and more consistent with what he did on the campaign trail.

Did I see a completely unfocused, petty narcissist? Sure, but I also thought he did horribly in each of the debates with Clinton. We forget how much of the American public lives in an alternate universe, where alternate facts and the alternate right thrives.

12. My bigger point is that we judge by a completely different standard

than do 40+ percent of Americans. I think they (Trump and his staff) got more of what they were looking for. All they have to do is stop the bleeding with the Republicans and the right leaning independents, and Congress will get the numbers they want to rev-up the efforts to destroy everything progressive.
