5. Watching this go on, it seems kind of simple to me

It's like they got a new boy/girl friend that tells them lies they can stomach or even believe in. Till they get their hands actually burnt from handling and believing what comes from them, then these things will go on. It's just like when a teenager gets a crush, it takes awhile or even sometimes forever before they see reality. It's not what good they see in the other party but this thing about how much better things will be for them if they continue on with the relationship. They believe they can graft success to their own person by way of association.

Many of them also believe only others do things that are immoral and they themselves have little need for self-reflection about what any of their contributions to any situations are.

a cat with toast butter side up strapped to its back. You can't trust what Drudge says because he is gay, but you can't believe or support Milo he too is gay. I imagine them stuck in midair spinning and spinning unable to decide what is the real fake news.
