DU Fake News.....The ACA Does Not Cover Pre-Existing Conditions!!!

Just wanted to remind the DU Community that while we may rail against "Fake News" our best and brightest.....our most highly-respected posters....have not always been scrupulous in their fact-checking from time to time.

I don't blame them....sometimes, you rush to judgment and get a piece out without fact-checking. For example, claiming that the ACA does not cover pre-existing conditions....which led to this brilliant and well-researched thread by pnwmom is one example.

We have a standard at DU....research before posting. Take the time to figure it all out. It's what sets us apart.

1. I am grateful to Skinner for ridding us of some of those posters who sat here and lied.

I probably should send him a thank you message for cleaning this place up a bit. I really am appreciative to have a place where facts are clearly important.

Not interested in dealing with that type of misinformation campaign again.

Skinner has taken a lot of hits from some members of this site, and I myself became incredulous at how long some trolls were allowed to remain in the past.

But one thing I did a day or so after the Big Hack was to write Skinner with tears in my eyes and tell him that no matter how this turned out, this site matters to tens of thousands of people. It came from the heart.

The hack confirmed my suspicions about infiltration into DU and I was so glad to see admin put their foot down and say no more.

Yeah, the KGOP will throw PeC insured in a pool were the cost is not affordable at all

The unquestioning M$M will never get the KGOP to be this specific until its all said and done.

and since there aren't 60 mllion PeC people the majority of folk wont care.

One is banned. The other hasn't agreed to the new terms of use and is one of JPR's biggest posters.

Thanks for setting the record straight and the history lesson was nice as well.
