SHOCKER: Faux News Segment Referenced By Trump Was Deceptively Edited

Swedish Police officers appearing in a fake documentary made by James O'Keefe wanna-be Ami Horowitz shown on a Friday Fox segment referenced by Trump say Horowitz is a "madman" who deceptively edited their answers to his questions. They claim he asked them questions about crime in general, unrelated to immigration, and then spliced their answers to different questions, to make it look like they were agreeing with his assertions about violence and Muslim immigrants.

Quote:

'...But the police officers now say that their answers were taken out of context, and are very critical of how their comments were portrayed on Fox News ”Tucker Carlson Tonight”. ”I don’t understand why we are a part of the segment. The interview was about something completely different to what Fox News and Horowitz were talking about”, says Anders Göranzon.

...”It was supposed to be about crime in high risk areas. Areas with high crime rates. There wasn’t any focus on migration or immigration”'

I'm SHOCKED! SHOCKED, I tell you, to find out that the rubes who watch Fox News (including the President, apparently) might have gotten the wrong impression from something they saw on Fox, and ended up becoming MISINFORMED on the issue.

*Snark*
We all know, of course, that...

A) Fox News viewers have been consistently shown to be the MOST MISINFORMED people in the country. They are even more poorly informed about facts than people who do not watch ANY TV News, or read ANY newspapers. Sociologists have even coined the term "The Fox News Effect" in honor of it. The more Fox News you watch, the more uninformed you actually get.

And...

B) That's not a BUG, it's a FEATURE of Fox News. Their INTENT is to use innuendo and other dog-whistle methods to leave their viewers with the wrong impression of things, specifically to manipulate them for political purposes. Although, I'm not sure if they ever intended for that brainwashing to go all the way to the people in the White House.

5. Editing like that is CRIMINAL. If other laws don't cover, there needs to be a specific law.

Deception like that is criminal because it has heavy consequences. Sweden is holding elections in 2018, as is the US. People can end up dead because of criminal alteration of facts to turn them into lies.

Criminal editing like that is pure unadulterated propaganda like the Nazis used in Germany in the 1930s and 40s.

This needs to crushed or it will happen again and again.

Freedom of speech wasn't intended this way, imo. We've gone off the rails.

Why can't we have an investigation into how this foxed-up editing of a news story misled 45? Shouldn't we be using the circumstances as an opening into how we are all being misled by fake news? Let's get to the bottom of this and demand accountability for misleading editing and deceitful reporting.
And yes this may be sarcastic but also serious.

The propaganda is dangerous and must be stopped. Bust up the media oligopolies when we get the chance and require truth in news. Also, don't let them get away with saying it's "Entertainment" like they did in their court cases.
