But many of the 447 members of the Democratic Party's national committee, who are the only voters in this contest, might actually view the race in such a way.

It can do wonders for turning DU into what we'd like it to be, a place with a large proportion of not only well behaved people but thoughtful ones whose posts are often worth reading. During the primary and general, I had hundreds on ignore. There was still plenty of disagreement, but the lessening of infectious contention made me more courteous too.

And don't you fucking tell me that Sanders isn't establishment or that Perez isn't establishment. Don't even fucking start. Buttigieg is the only way to unify the party. Perez will stoke resentment from the Sanders fans (only because Sanders endorsed Ellison way early in the "race" which it shouldn't have ever become to begin with) and Ellison will not even attempt to put an end to this interparty fighting.

Buttigieg is a smart guy. Listen to him on his podcast interviews. He knows what it takes to unify the party and get us out of this mess.

And I don't think the top contenders are DWS types, so I am totally fine with whoever is chosen.

I do think that (former) Clinton surrogates will have a huge impact on who is ultimately chosen. And I think that the vast majority of them are not in whiny primary mode like some lay people are. In other words, they are acting like adults who want the best for the Democratic Party.

I highly doubt she would've redirected funds to increase turnout in cities -out of fear of losing the popular vote, instead of towards the swing states. For all her faults she, she did us straight in 2012, and I think she would've been worlds better than Donna Brazille in 2016.

I am nearly 50, I was always a Hillary supporter, have never smoked pot but voted in my state of Oregon for rec marijuana. Before it was legal, cops would stop, frisk and jail kids over a dime bag of pot. Legal Marijuana took this power away from cops and things are much better.

Maybe I'm a bit young but I don't recall ever seeing this much attention paid to a DNC chair campaign. My guess is that either Perez or Ellison wins and you will get some whining and grumbling from people who wanted the other guy but eventually the party will come together simply because they have to if they want to make gains in 2018.
