(135,425 posts)This has been the norm in MA for six years, and let me tell you, it's ALL GOOD. I don't have to worry about my family members getting wrapped around the health care axle due to an unforeseen illness or accident.
And I'm someone who has good gubmint insurance via TRICARE. If I were the type of person who only worried about myself, I'd be saying "Screw youse guys--I got mine!!!" But this is a day whose time has come.
I will not let the Perfect be the enemy of the Good, here. Yes, there might be easier ways to do things, better ways, but this is a foot on the road--the journey has begun.

(135,425 posts)So long as we're on a decent trajectory that includes improved services for our fellow citizens and a decent safety net for all, I'll put up with a bit of stutter-stepping and less-than-optimal stuff. This SC ruling puts people without access to health care in a BETTER place. May not be the best place, but it's a start, so I'm happy.
I honestly didn't think they'd do it...but then again, I suppose they figured after Bush V. Gore, they'd better get with the program or some angry people would surround their workcenter and make their lives very miserable, indeed!
