Heard Senator Tom Cotton on the teevee saying that Republicans are going to get rid of Obamare because "Americans are smart enough to make their own healthcare decisions."
Well, either he's lying or he's admitting that Republicans don't consider women to be American. Which is it, Senator?

(41,832 posts)about "you can't make your own decisions". For the first time in his life, my husband needed healthcare. In June of this year he was diagnosed with cancer of the base of his tongue. Thank god we had insurance through the Marketplace. Now, it wasn't the best you could get and we had a high deductible, but $9,000 is better than $220,000. ( The out of pocket was 6500, but some things like liquid food wasn't covered)
And all through this process of primary doctor, then to the Ear,Nose Throat doc, then the oncologist and the radiation oncologist we were in control of his treatment. We even asked for some early testing so his PET scan could be in Dec. so insurance would pay since we had already met the deductible.
He is doing great btw. He had an appointment last month and the doctor said, come back in Aug. just to check.
His PET scan said the cancer was "resolved"

(28,876 posts)Cotton and the Reeps plan, literally, to take away
the decision from most Americans.
They will give them so many really bad choices
that it won't take "smarts" to make a decision,
it will take a miracle.

Or is it not available to me because I am female?

(16,245 posts)This argument infuriates me.
I think the Democrats need to add an amendment to the ACA reform bill the requires Congress to use the new ACA and not the gold-plated taxpayer funded system they are one.
See how Tom fucking Cotton likes them apples.

(29,722 posts)The "new" meme passing amongst themselves is that women are merely "hosts" and as such have no say in their own healthcare.
