I and many have had this belief in the back of our minds, and with the hints of a possible investigation into his ties with Russia, it looks like it's a distinct possibility that the repukes might eventually remove trump.
Hardcore repukes in Mid America will be fine with it because they'll keep control and the policies will change little. But what about those that we can vote shame for picking such an obvious criminal moron? Do you think they'll ever for repub in their lives after being duped? Is there any way we can shave 10% off their repuke voter totals for the next go round?
We're screwed for the next 2 or 4 years with either pence or dipshit, but might there be some distant silver lining out of this horrid shitstorm if they toss trump out?

(52,285 posts)the only way that happens is if a large number of republicans in congress, particularly the senate, see their own re-election chances improved by voting to override their what in many cases was their own constituents' vote for donnie for president.
that's a *very* tall order. even if we win both the house and senate (both possible, but still quite a challenge), we could impeach with a majority in the house but it's essentially impossible for us to get anywhere close to 2/3rd in the senate without major republican help.
remember that no matter how outraged democrats get, what matters is the re-election chances for republicans, many of whom are in solid red states. unless donnie really loses foxnews and hate radio, they're vastly more likely to simply ignore donnie and run for re-election on general conservative principles and bringing jobs to their own district/state, blah blah blah.
